The Honey Island Swamp Band is a genre-blending roots group known for flexible song structures and a strong focus on melody and songwriting. Formed in 2005 in San Francisco after relocating from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina—and later returning home—the band has grown into a standout force in contemporary roots music.
Led by Aaron Wilkinson alongside Lee Yankee, Sam Price, Chris Spies, and Garland Paul, the five-piece continues to evolve, highlighted by their album Custom Deluxe. Their sound balances fresh originality with timeless, song-driven appeal—music that feels both new and instantly familiar.
